Cargo profiles
Different cargo.
One coordinated approach.
From palletised goods to project cargo, each profile below sets out what the cargo needs, how Mizan coordinates it, and which modes typically suit it.
Cargo profiles
Coordinated around what you're moving.
Every shipment is reviewed against its actual cargo, route and service requirements before booking. The profiles below show how different types of cargo are typically coordinated.
General & palletised cargo
What the cargo needs
Boxed or palletised goods that require consistent handling, secure loading and clear identification throughout the journey.
How Mizan coordinates it
Cargo details, pallet configuration and handling requirements are confirmed before booking so collection, freight and delivery can be coordinated consistently from origin to destination.
Modes that suit it
Sea freight through FCL or LCL, air freight and road freight — selected according to route, volume and required timeline.
Machinery & spare parts
What the cargo needs
Equipment and components that can vary significantly in size, weight and urgency, often requiring careful loading, lifting or securing.
How Mizan coordinates it
Dimensions, weight, loading method and any lifting or securing requirements are reviewed before booking so the appropriate vehicle, container and handling arrangement can be confirmed.
Modes that suit it
Sea and road for larger or heavier equipment, with air freight considered where parts need to move urgently.
Building materials
What the cargo needs
Heavy or high-volume cargo where loading, weight distribution, equipment choice and site access can be just as important as the main freight leg.
How Mizan coordinates it
The cargo profile, loading requirements and delivery-point access are reviewed before movement so the route and equipment can be planned around the material.
Modes that suit it
Typically sea freight for international volume, with road freight supporting collection, regional movement and final delivery.
Retail & e-commerce stock
What the cargo needs
Cartoned or palletised inventory that often moves on recurring schedules, where consistency and predictable handling support replenishment cycles.
How Mizan coordinates it
Repeat movements can be coordinated around cargo-ready dates, routing requirements and consistent documentation so each shipment follows a familiar process.
Modes that suit it
Sea freight for planned replenishment and air freight where stock needs to reach the market faster.
Temperature-sensitive cargo
What the cargo needs
Goods that need to remain within defined handling or temperature conditions throughout the movement.
How Mizan coordinates it
The required temperature range, packaging, handling conditions and transit requirements are reviewed at quotation stage so the appropriate equipment and service can be confirmed where available.
Modes that suit it
Selected shipment by shipment according to the required temperature conditions, route and transit time.
Project & out-of-gauge cargo
What the cargo needs
Oversized, overweight or irregular cargo that cannot move within standard container or vehicle dimensions.
How Mizan coordinates it
Dimensions, weight, lifting requirements and route constraints are reviewed individually before booking, with specialist equipment, routing and any required permissions coordinated around the shipment.
Modes that suit it
Typically sea freight through specialist or non-standard equipment and road freight using the appropriate transport configuration, subject to route and cargo requirements.
Not sure which profile fits?
Not every shipment sits neatly inside one category. A palletised shipment may also require temperature control. Machinery may be oversized. Retail stock may need both consolidation and urgent air movement.
Tell us what you are moving, where it starts and where it needs to go. We'll confirm the handling, routing and mode around the cargo itself.
