Machinery and Spare Parts Shipping to and from the UAE

Machinery and spare parts range from small cartons of components to heavy individual units. Before Mizan confirms a container, vehicle or handling arrangement, we ask for the cargo details that decide feasibility — dimensions, weight, packing and how each piece can be lifted and secured.

Cargo We Can Assess

Machinery and spare parts enquiries usually fall into a few groups:

  • Spare parts and components packed in cartons, cases or on pallets
  • Crated machines and equipment
  • Individual heavy or awkward units that need a specific loading method
  • Mixed shipments of machines and their parts or accessories

Feasibility comes first

Mizan assesses each machinery shipment before confirming equipment or a freight option. We do not promise out-of-gauge or project-cargo handling; whether a particular item can be moved is confirmed only after the cargo details are reviewed.

Packing and Handling Requirements

For machinery, the details that decide how a piece can be handled come from you or the manufacturer. We will ask for:

Machinery details Mizan asks for
DetailWhy we ask
Dimensions of each pieceConfirms whether it fits a container, vehicle or aircraft
Weight of each pieceDecides loading equipment and vehicle or container choice
Centre of gravityAffects how the item can be lifted, loaded and secured
Lifting points and methodForklift, crane or other lifting — confirmed before booking
Packing or cratingUnpacked machinery may need protection the shipper must arrange
Any fluids, batteries or fuelNeed review before the mode and acceptance can be confirmed

If information is missing, Mizan will ask before confirming a vehicle, container or handling arrangement rather than assume.

Suitable Freight Options

  • FCL sea freight — often considered for larger or heavier machinery that fits a standard container.
  • LCL sea freight — for smaller crated items or pallets of parts.
  • Road freight — collection, delivery and regional movement, with the vehicle type confirmed against the cargo.
  • Air freight — considered for urgent spare parts whose size and weight suit it.

Collection and Delivery Considerations

Heavy items need suitable equipment at both ends. Tell us whether the collection and delivery sites have lifting equipment, whether the item must be placed in a particular position, and any access restrictions such as gate height, road access or working hours.

Responsibility for loading and unloading is agreed in the quotation. Where lifting equipment is required on site and not available, say so early so it can be discussed before booking.

Information Needed to Quote

  1. Item description, model and quantity
  2. Dimensions and weight per piece, and centre of gravity where available
  3. Lifting points or method, and whether the item is crated
  4. Any fluids, batteries or fuel
  5. Collection and delivery addresses, and site equipment at each
  6. Readiness date and required arrival
  7. Stages needed: collection, freight, clearance, delivery

Photos or drawings help. The quotation states the scope, exclusions, validity and who handles clearance, duties and taxes.
